We are an employee-owned company and nationally recognized leader in construction. Over the past 80 years, we’ve grown into a highly respected, innovative concrete construction company with the kind of people clients want to work with.
Origins
In 1895, James and George Donley formed a partnership as lathing contractors known as Donley Brothers Company in Cleveland. In 1941, Don and Phil Donley established Ernest F. Donley Sons, Inc. as concrete formwork contractors by purchasing the construction department of Donley Brothers Company. Terry Donley became the company’s third-generation leader, taking over as president and CEO in 1968. In 2002, he handed the baton to his son, Mac Donley, who currently serves as CEO. Reach
Expansion from our Cleveland office over the years has led to offices in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Donley’s has successfully delivered projects in eight states.
Employee Owned

Starting as a family-owned company in 1941, Donley’s made the transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 2023, making our employees the owners of the business.
