Donley’s Northeast Ohio concrete division was responsible for the cast-in-place concrete structure for this ten-story facility, the Sydell & Arnold Miller Family Pavilion, which serves as the main entrance to the Cleveland Clinic’s main campus and is the new home of the Clinic’s Heart & Vascular Institute.

The project covered a 120,000 sq. ft. footprint and utilized almost 30,000 cubic yards of concrete. Concrete elements included:

  • 9 elevator/stair tower cores (ranging up to 12
    stories in height)
  • 210,000 sq. ft. of flat plate structural decks
  • 114,000+ sq. ft. of pan/joist decks

Despite nearly $1 million in scope changes and a very aggressive 10-month schedule, Donley’s was able to complete its work two weeks ahead of schedule.
