In 1994, Donley’s served as the Prime General Trades Contractor for all interior construction and 42,000 seats of Progressive Field (formerly Jacobs Field), home to the MLB’s Cleveland Guardians, located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

Our scope of work included:

  • Public circulation areas
  • Public restrooms
  • Concession areas
  • Press booths
  • Team rooms
  • Player training and locker rooms

Donley’s also served as the Prime Specialty Contractor for all cast-in-place concrete construction for Progressive Field (formerly Jacobs Field). Requiring 55,000 cubic yards of concrete, the work consisted of:

  • All structural excavation
  • Concrete foundations
  • Retaining walls
  • Below-grade structures
  • Team exercise facilities
  • Maintenance staff locker rooms
  • 126 loge suites
  • Three Diamond suites (dugout loges)
  • Terrace Club dining room and lounge
  • VIP Club Lounge
  • Columns
  • Fat slabs on metal deck
  • All waterproofing

After the 1996 season, Donley’s performed as General Contractor for a fast-track 3,527 sq. ft. bleacher expansion that added 663 seats.
