FirstEnergy Stadium
In 1999, Donley’s completed work on the FirstEnergy stadium, home of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns. Located on the shores of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland, the project spanned 1.64 million square feet and created seating for over 73,200 fans.
When Donley’s received its contract, portions of the general trades package were up to five months behind schedule. In order to make up the lost time, we re-sequenced the original plan, increased manpower, and helped coordinate the work of other contractors not under our control. As a result, we were able to complete our work per the original schedule, so that the stadium could open on time.
Donley’s scope of work encompassed all inside finishes in all areas of the football stadium, including:
- Retail and concessions spaces
- The Club Level lounge
- Luxury suites
- Team offices
- Public entrance gates
- Elevator/escalator lobbies
- Broadcast and coaches booths
- Seating capacity of 73,200+- including:- 8,801 Club Seats
- 10,644 Seats in the famed Dawg Pound (bleacher seating)
- 142 Luxury Suites
