Donley’s worked with Rabren General Contractors on The Helmsman, a boutique-style luxury apartment community near the Savannah College of Art and Design. The 155,000-square-foot, five-story building has 104 apartments that can accommodate up to 283 residents, helping to meet a need for student-centered housing in an area where demand has outpaced supply.

This project features a ground floor lobby and amenity space, a single-story basement parking level, and a second-floor exterior pool deck. Donley’s concrete services on the structure consisted of podium-style construction with a cast-in-place podium, and four stories of wood-framed construction above. Our scope included 104,653 SF and 7,150 CY of concrete.
