University Hospitals' project in the west side suburb of North Ridgeville is a $20.5 million state-of-the-art outpatient health center and freestanding emergency department.
The 50,300 sq. ft. facility will be located on 30 acres on the north side of Lorain Road and will be highly visible from Interstate 480, Interstate 80/Ohio Turnpike and easily accessed from state Route 10.
These 30 acres give UH enough land to expand the facility if needed in the future.
Services to be provided include Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital pediatric services, primary care, obstetrics, gynecology, digestive health, pain management, radiology, heart and vascular, physical therapy, laboratory services, a retail pharmacy, and an emergency fast-track program for patients with urgent conditions that are in need of quick treatment.
Donley's began construction in March 2017 and has completed the structural steel erection, the first major milestone, on time after battling a very wet spring. Currently on site, the exterior wall construction has begun and the interior walls and mechanical rough in have started ahead of schedule. The team will be pouring the final remaining concrete slab and starting exterior site hardscape work, giving the team a head start on what was originally to be completed in the Spring 2018. Donley's next big milestone is weatherproofing the structure by fall 2017. The project is on track for completion in late spring of 2018.
